How to use: hold your phone overhead and turn so the direction you're facing is at the bottom of the screen. The edge is the horizon; the center is straight up. East and west look swapped because you're looking up, not down at a map.
The Night Sky is a free star chart showing the constellations, bright stars, planets and Moon above any place on Earth, at any date and time. Print it, share a link to it, or use it offline on your phone, with a red night-vision mode for when you're out under the real sky.
